This test measures how alert people are during the day. People will sit in a room without any bright light, noise or activity. A low wattage night light will be used in the room. The purpose of this study is to see if a person can stay awake for 20 minutes during a two-hour period. A person’s heart rate and oxygen levels will also be monitored.

Apnea Link monitors a person’s heart rate and oxygen level at night. This test can also be used to detect sleep apnea.
