Randy Gene Moss is a former American football wide receiver who played 14 seasons in the National Football League. He has set the record for most touchdown receptions in a season, pulling in 23 of them in 2007 as a member of the New England Patriots and has won many awards along the way.
Moss was born on February 13, 1977 in Charleston, West Virginia. He later moved to Rand, West Virginia. He is currently a 43 Year, 07 Months, 12 Days old at a height of 6 ft. 4 in. He is the son of Maxine Moss and Randy Pratt. Moss. He also has a sister named Lutisia and a brother named Eric. He went to DuPont High School where he was honored with the Kennedy Award as the West Virginia Football Player of the Year. He has also played the track and field. Moss intended to play college football with Notre Dame. However in 1995 he was charged in a racist fight and accused for hitting a student. He spent three days in jail and was expelled from DuPont and completed his education at Cabell Alternative School. His application at the Notre Dame was denied but because of his exceptional skills, the NCAA considered him a transfer student to Florida State so he had to redshirt the 1995 football season. In 1996, Moss transferred to Marshall University. Moss went out to play as a star receiver, defensive back, kick and punt returner. He was taken by the Minnesota Vikings with the 21st overall pick in the 1998 NFL Draft. He spent the first seven seasons of his career with them and was named NFC Player of the Year in 2003. In 2005, he was traded to the Oakland Raiders for linebacker Napoleon Harris. Moss was not happy on this team and in 2007 he was picked New England Patriots. Moss played well but later was moved to Minnesota Vikings than the Tennessee Titans and later the San Francisco 49ers
